Services

 

Core Aerating

Lawn core removal results in reduced compaction, increased air and water penetration, and increased nutrient absorption. This process also decreases thatch resulting in a healthier lawn. Core aeration is generally performed in early to late fall, although it can be performed as early as spring.

 

Power Raking

Power Raking removes debris that is built up in your lawn throughout the year. The debris is more evident in spring. This mechanical method removes dead grass and reduces thatch within your lawn. Power Raking is a great way to give your lawn a kick start in the spring.  With this service we will clean up all the leaf litter and bag it.  We can leave the bags at the clients home for waste management to pick up, or dispose of them for our clients.  If we dispose of them their will be an additional fee.

 

Overseeding

Overseeding can be performed to patchy, thin, or weedy lawns. This process involves spreading seed over the lawn to create a thick, dense, and healthy mat of grass. This process can be performed when the soil temperatures are above 10 degrees celcius. Otherwise, the seed will not germinate due to insufficient warmth. Overseeding can also be performed on a healthy lawn to choke out other unwanted grass or weed species.

 

Fertilizing

Fertilizing is important because it increases the nutrient availability to all turf species. This increases plant health allowing the species to outcompete weeds or unwanted grass species. The slow release granular we use is available in the soil for up to 3 months giving the plant readily available nutrients whenever needed. We believe slow release granular fertilizers, when applied correctly, are more beneficial to the plant than liquid fertilizers. Liquid fertilizers are good for instant impact, but are not available in the soil long term as they leach through the soil profile. Green with Envy Lawn and Garden Care Ltd. feels that fertilizing should be performed with a balanced granular slow release fertilizer. We recommend this fertilizer to be applied 3 times annually.

 

 

Weed Control

Green with Envy Lawn and Garden Care Ltd. believes that a healthy lawn is its own weed control. However, if invasive species do appear, we can apply necessary products to eradicate unwanted weeds.

 

Mowing

Green with Envy Lawn and Garden Care Ltd. is available to perform weekly or bi-weekly mowing. We offer our business to both residential and commercial clients. This service includes string trimming.
