We own a home in the Slopes – on a large lot (over 1/2 acre).  The lot is heavily landscaped with a wide variety of features – including lawns, shrubs, flower gardens, rock gardens, a vegetable garden, large trees and many potted plants.  Our lot is also on a “slope” – with an elevation difference of over 50 feet from top to bottom.

So, yard maintenance is a really big job.  Two years ago we hired Green with Envy Lawn and Garden Care Ltd. to handle it for us – since we spend most of the summer in Kelowna.  JoEllen and Byron have done an excellent job for us.  The yard is always neat and tidy – with the grass freshly cut and no weeds showing.  But, it’s more than that.  JoEllen and Byron work hard at keeping all the plants in good health – including pruning, dead-heading, adding fertilizer, adding new plants and so on.  They really know their stuff.

Bottom-line – we are very pleased with Green with Envy Lawn and Garden Care Ltd.

JoEllen was prompt in making an appointment to view our yard and prepare an estimate.  She quickly established a friendly rapport during our initial meeting where she assessed not only our yard, but our vision for our yard and just as importantly, our budget.  We were impressed from the very beginning because of her obvious passion for her work, her knowledge of plants and design, her willingness to listen to our ideas, and her overall friendly personality.  She assured us that she could come up with a plan that would work for our yard and fit our budget.  As it turned out, we hired her because she presented us the very best value for our money with the assurance that she would stand behind her work and make sure that we were completely satisfied.  She also stated that she would be involved in all aspects from the beginning to the end.  We viewed this as a huge bonus.

Byron & JoEllen Wickerson of Green with Envy Lawn and Garden Care Ltd. have been looking after our property for three full summer seasons and we have been very happy with the result.  They have:

  • Provided advisory and planning services for upgrading the landscaping of our property, which was first developed over 20 years ago.
  • Planted several trees, bushes and shrubs.
